Squads

Squad 1 --  (Saturday 07:00 - Monday 07:00)


Squad 1 is made up of any member that has their primary shift time on a Saturday, or Sunday.  
Squad 1's Primary Ambulance is a PL Custom Type 3 with an identifier of 281.


The Officers for Squad 1 are:

Squad 2 --  (Weekdays 07:00 - 19:00)


Squad 2 is made up of any member that has their primary shift time on a weekday, during the times of 07:-00 - 19:00(7pm)

Squad 2's Primary Ambulance is a PL Custom Type 3 with an identifier of 282

The Officers for Squad 2 are:

Squad 3 --  (Weekdays 19:00(7pm) - 0700(7AM))


Squad 3 is made up of any member that has their primary shift time on a weekday, during the times of 19:-00(7pm) - 07:00(7am)

Squad 3's Primary Ambulance is a PL Custom Type 3 with an identifier of 283

Special Operations Division


The Special Operations Division is comprised of multiple specialty squads including bicycles, motor vehicle extrication, and mass casualty command tools.

The Commanding Officers for the Special Operations Division are:

Bicycle Squad:

The Bellmore - Merrick EMS Bicycle Squad is used at events where due to crowds or long trails, a bicycle can get to a emergency scene faster and safer.  The Bicycle Squad has 3 mountain bicycles, fully stocked with oxygen and first aid equipment 

Rapid Response -- Rescue 288:

Rescue 288 is a rapid response vehicle used by members that are certified as a Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or higher.  Within the trucks bed and cabinets 288 contains a vast amount of medical equipment, including: First Aid, A.E.D. Vehicle Extrication Tools, and other assorted Emergency Equipment.

Junior Squad


The Junior Squad is made up of any member under the age of 18.  Every week they have training sessions, providing the necessary tools in which they need to continue on in their EMS career.
